DTC C1194 DSC continuous operation fault
DETECTION CONDITION
•  The PCM receives DSC operation signals from DSC CM while the engine switch is turned to the ON position. If the PCM receives DSC operation signals for longer than the specified time, the PCM determines that the DSC is operating continuously.
Note
•  The DSC CM stops operating itself for protection heat to the solenoid and/or motor (built in DSC HU) if the DSC operates for a long time.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
•  Communication error between DSC CM and PCM
•  DSC CM does not determine vehicle conditions correctly.
―  DSC CM malfunction
―  DSC related sensor malfunction
•  The vehicle runs under the road conditions in which DSC operates for a long time.
•  PCM malfunction
Caution
•  While performing the Drive Mode, always operate the vehicle in a safe and lawful manner.
•  When the M-MDS is used to observe or monitor system conditions while driving, be sure to have another technician with you, or record the data in the M-MDS using the PID/DATA MONITOR AND RECORD functions and inspect later.
